We're finally done with all of our bimonthly exams and I feel relieved, but at the same time there is a dreadful sense of impending doom since our test papers have not yet been returned and our grades for the third bimonthly have not yet been released. But at least now, there is also sense of peace since we still have no exams scheduled and no heavy lectures yet, and no classes today... and no classes this friday to sunday because it's XU Days... and no classes on December 8 (I forgot why)... and Christmas break is coming up... *stretches arms* THIS IS SO GOOD. ^_____^
Anyway, so last week I was able to buy 2 new korean DVDs - Everybody Has A Secret and Fighter In The Wind. I've always been looking forward to Everybody Has A Secret since I wanted to watch the pair-up of Lee Byung Hun and Choi Ji Woo again! I just love them so much in Beautiful Days, and love their pair-up to the point that I wish they are a couple IRL. They look really good together. ^o^ Anyway, about the movie - storywise, it was just OK. I don't really like sex comedies. But what really struck me hard and what kept repeating over and over in my mind while watching the movie was that LEE BYUNG HUN IS SO SO SO SO ABSOLUTELY JUST OOZING - OVERFLOWING - WITH MANLY CHARM AND CHARISMA!!! My goodness. The twinkling of his eyes, his lopsided boyish smile, or even the mere movement of his hands is enough to make me so intoxicated. I didn't care at all about the story, I was too busy watching - drooling over - him. LOL He is too good looking, no, too charming. Charming is the perfect word for him. I can't think of any other word to describe him best.
About Fighter In The Wind, it was also a good movie. I've always liked Yang Dong Geun. I first got to see him in NONSTOP, where he played this obnoxious character who kept farting in front of his friends and was always up to no good, but for some reason became Jang Na Ra's love interest. LOL Anyway, about the movie, it depicted the life of this korean hero (I guess we can call him that way) who stood up against the Japanese during the war times. I was very affected at the way he was treated in the first part of the movie and felt glad that he was able to triumphantly regain his honor in the end. I was really impressed because Yang Dong Geun has matured so much as an actor. He was also good in doing the fight scenes. Now I'm contemplating maybe I should get Ruler of Your Own World just to see how well he is in TV dramas. Also in the movie are Tae Woo (who is also from NONSTOP) and a really pretty Japanese girl who acted as Yang Dong Geun's girlfriend.
The other day, I also watched MY SASSY GIRL again cos my friend went over to my house because she wanted to watch it. As always, even though I've watched this movie so many times already, I still get teary eyed especially at these scenes:
- Cha Tae Hyun brings a rose to Jun Ji Hyun in her class
- Jun Ji Hyun's blind date enumerates the pointers Cha Tae Hyun gave him
- the ending
My friend, who was seeing it for the first time, was so affected. LOL I'm glad she enjoyed it though.
After that movie, I watched WHITE VALENTINE starring Jun Ji Hyun and (GYYAAaaaaaHH!! ^o^) MY LOVE PARK SHIN YANG!! It was really funny cos Park Shin Yang sported long hair in this movie!! *giggles* I was telling my mother that he has joined F4! LOLz Anyway, it was a simple story set in a small town, and although it's probably not the greatest love story I've seen, but I felt very heartbroken in the end. I don't know if the story was about fate, but I think their characters were somehow destined for each other, and yet they didn't meet in the end. *sad* Anyway, there is really something so cute about Park Shin Yang playing the role of a bird man, taking care of birds, making bird sounds and yah.. sporting long hair. *giggles* There was a part in the movie where he softly kisses the head of the pigeon before he sets it free, and I was thinking that how I wished I was that pigeon he was holding so gently in his hands. *blushes* Ahh, so embarrassing de-su! *hits self with a frying pan* LOL I'm quite curious actually why Park Shin Yang has been paired up with Jun Ji Hyun twice (the other time for THE UNINVITED, which was the first movie I saw him in). I wonder why indeed.
I also watched THE GHOST RYUNG, which is Kim Ha Neul's first attempt at horror. Um, it wasn't really scary and I even shed a tear *LOLz*, but I got confused in the end. I didn't bother to analyze the meaning of the ending, I'll just talk it over with Pchan. Now I'm watching the j-dorama STAR NO KOI starring Kusanagi Tsuyoshi of SMAP. Hya and Pchan have been telling me to watch it but I'm still on episode 3. So far I'm enjoying it. Maybe I'll write more about it next time.
We've placed an order already for new series. Pchan is ordering 2 j-doramas, Kimura Takuya's PRIDE and LONG VACATION. I don't exactly know why Pchan is in KimuTaku mode this time. LOL But she said she wants to improve her Jap cos she's taking Jap classes now. Hya ordered Firebird and Stairway To Heaven. She's so excited already to see Kwon Sang Woo, since she has tagged the guy as her husband (or one her many husbands, LOL). I'm only buying the movies OLD BOY (I really look forward to Choi Min Shik's great performance here) and THE BIG SWINDLE (yes of course, in loving devotion to MY Park Shin Yang ^o^) plus LEE DONG GUN clips and music videos (tralala ^o^) and an old anime called VIDEO GIRL AI. The CDs are expected to arrive this Thursday.
By the way, I rearranged my bishie list again - Gackt has to be promoted to third place and Lee Byung Hun to fourth, so Jang Hyuk has to settle with fifth place but I still love that guy. ^o^ Speaking of Jang Hyuk, I just remembered now that I was able to tape his earlier movie with Cha In Pyo (bishie!) called ZZANG! but I forgot to watch it. Also I changed the piccies (except for Gackt's pic since I love that pic so much). I couldn't find a good pic of Jang Hyuk that shows his arrogant and goofy face which is my most favorite part of him. ^o^v
Also, I'm grateful for those who made comments on my blog. Let me just say that I'm always willing to help - if I can - but this blog is basically a place for my rantings and is not really a request site for song lyrics or translations or pics or synopsis... Just like everyone else, I'm also just a fan and not really a provider of info. But I'll share if I can. I'm really glad people took the time to read my entries and felt good about it. ^o^
** replies to blog comments **
- To Theresa and Lucky: I'm sorry but I don't usually like to spoil the ending for those who have not seen it yet, so I just hope you'll watch patiently for it. Or you can try to find an episode summary. I'm sure there must be one somewhere.
- To Miyako-chan, Shizuka, Lily: I already sent you emails.
- To Keena: I already commented on your blog. Sorry I don't know the name of that cute actor.
- To Sarah: Thanks for your offer of friendship. Yes, we can be friends. ^o^
- To Bernie, Nanette, Sayong, aNneLysSe_eRikA, Salma : Thanks for your comments.
- To Pchan: Yes I love MY PSY so so much, but LDG will always be my number one love. You know that already. ^o^
And no, I'm NOT sharing them with you. LOL
- To Kimmy: Cute nga sila noh? LOL Miss you na. ^o^
- To Hya: Let's discuss YOUR Kwon Sang Woo next time. LOL Maybe I might ask you to share him with me, hehehe ^^''
Whew. I hope I didn't forget anyone. ^^'' By the way, here's a piccie of Lee Dong Gun with very kissable cheeks. LOL But NOBODY except ME (and maybe his mom and Han Ji Hye) is allowed to kiss him though. *huggles Lee Dong Gun*
Um.. I'm not korean. And I never took korean classes. But I can read a little korean, just enough basics to be able to read the names of the korean actors and actresses, hehehe ^o^ Anyway, I've tried but failed to find the romanization of the song Sarang Hae Do Dwel Gga Yo? (May I Love You?), which was the song MY Park Shin Yang sang in episode 12 of Pari Ui Yeonin. This song was originally sang by Yurisangja - I'm so sorry but I don't know them. I only found the korean lyrics (with credits to soompi.com). Anyway, because I was so obsessed with the song a few weeks ago (and until now ^o^), I did the romanization myself, and I guess I'm in a good mood today cos I feel like sharing it here. I just want to tell you that I'm not 100% sure of my romanization, but I think it'll do. ^^'' I'll just underline the characters that I'm not very sure of... Ehek. Well, here goes...

(giggles) The piccies are so kawaii!! These are not from PARI by the way. I think they are from an ad...
I hope my romanization is OK. Feel free to correct me - constructive criticisms are always welcome. ^o^ The translations are down below - but they are not complete. I got them from the VCDs since I can't understand korean at all. (smiles) I'm so crazy I'd do anything for MY Park Shin Yang, LOL ^o^ Just remembering him sing gives me goosebumps all over. ^____^

I'm quite amused today when I opened my blog and saw all these comments for me asking me about PARI! This never happened to this blog before. LOL Um.. to those who asked questions, I'm sorry I cannot answer you now, but I'll send you email when I can get back online again. Cos I still got a class and I might run late if I start ranting about PARI.. hehehe Who was it who asked me for the lyrics of sarang hae do dwel gga yo? Um.. Shizuka-san? ^__^ I made a "rough" romanization of it cos I could only find the korean lyrics, and well I can't really read korean perfectly, but I can read a bit. I'll either post it here next time or email it to you.
With lots of love to MY PARK SHIN YANG and to MY LEE DONG GUN. No matter how crazy my classmates are about you, I know that both of you love ME the most. hehehe ^______^

Today is the start of our Third Bimonthly Exams week. *grumble* *grumble* Our exam today was scheduled at 2PM, but I wanted to go to school early, so after dropping off my mail for my best friend, I hurriedly walked to the university. Around 1 block from the school entrance, when I was about to cross the street, I don't know... for some reason, I lost my footing, twisted my ankle, and in all my "glory", wearing my all-white uniform, holding my IM textbook, fell on all fours on the ground!!! I fell in the middle of the bustling Divisoria streets, with all the passing jeepneys and vehicles, in front of sooooooo many pedestrians and the flocks of university students who were just dismissed for lunch!!! A woman who was crossing the street even cried in surprise and concern when she saw me fall. Gyaaaahh!! So embarrassing de-su!! o__0 I immediately got up, and with all the poise I could muster, started to walk away. Needless to say, I didn't go inside the university but went home instead. I was too embarrased plus my pants was so dirty!! My goodness, LOL. Anyway, my left arm and ankle kinda hurt now. I think I really sprained them. *ouch*
So it's our BM Exams week, but what am I doing sitting here in front of the PC and not studying at all... *sigh* I'm still recovering from our Medicine Exam. I just know that I goofed up big time again in that exam. Especially for the endocrinology part, I just randomly circled the answers because the questions made no sense at all to me.. *sigh* I don't know why, but lately I'm really in a SLUMP. I can't sleep at night, but I can't study either! All I do is highlight my notes without even understanding or remembering a single word! *sad* I really have to snap out of this "dazed mode"... Now is NOT the time to be slacking off cos I don't have enough time to improve and maintain my grades... *kneels in prayer* Dear Lord, please help me.. Kami-sama, TASUKETE!!!
I thought I would've been motivated after last week's meeting with our scholarship benefactors... Yesss, the Americans who fund our studies came to check on how we're doing... Ehek. And during the two days that we met with them, I really kinda felt bad about not being the best that I am in my studies (or if this is already my best, then I guess I'm not good enough at all... *extremely sad*) Anyway, Fr. Barcelon said something really nice when he was invited to say a few words for us. He said, "I know most of you are willing to die for Christ, but how many of you are willing to LIVE for Christ?" I was really struck hard with what he said. It is really something that everyone of us should be pondering about. In this life, we really shouldn't be thinking too much about ourselves only, but really ponder on what more can we do for the society, what more can we do to make a difference, what more can we do to touch people's lives, and what more can we do for God's glory. And that is why I'm feeling even worse now about my present condition. I really should snap out of this "slump mode"...
MISAKICHAN, FIGHTING! AJA! AJA!
Anyway, on to the lighter side of things... I was really shocked (and was depressed for one night), when I learned last Saturday that ABSCBN will air PARI, dubbed in Tagalog of course. GYaaaaahhhh!! I just can't believe it, but last night they really aired it. Han Ki Joo (my beloved Park Shin Yang) was named CARLO (oh my goodness!), Kang Tae Young (the cute Kim Jung Eun) was named VIVIAN and Yoon Soo Hyuk (my ultimate love Lee Dong Gun) is going to be named MARTIN (oh my goodness-300x!!). I really really REALLY don't want to share the series to the entire country. I hope my korean boys don't get too sensationalized like F4... *sigh* I still feel like the country "stole" my F4 craze from me and that is why I'm not much of an F4 fan anymore (but note that I just got a copy of Jerry Yan's album.. ha.ha. ^o^). But Hya's sis said - much to my frustration - that nobody is going to like Park Shin Yang anyway cos he's SHORT, wears clothes that are TOO SMALL for him and he has BANANA LEGS!!! And that he wears very BIG NECKTIES with MATCHING FLOWERS!! *cries a pailful in indignation* How can she say THOSE HURTFUL WORDS about MY PARK SHIN YANG!?! That's totally UNFORGIVABLE!!! *burns in fury* But good thing she "redeemed" herself by saying that Ki-joo's role is PERFECT for PSY, because it really is. *swoons at PSY* (Besides, Hya's sis is the owner of the PARI copy we watched, ehehe...)
I really really like PSY, he is so so so so so so cute... Especially when he smiles. I didn't even care that he was speaking in tagalog last night.. I just love it when he smiles (he has dimples!! Gyaaaahhhh!! Kawaii!! ^o^), and also when he's mad. I really like him when he gets angry! His face just flares up, it is oh-so-manly. hehehe The tagalog dubbing is so funny. Besides Tae Young ("Vivian" *rolls eyes*) saying "AY BUTIKI!", KiJoo (my love PSY) said "Bulag ka ba?! Ayaw kong nahahalo ang mga asul at puting polo ko at ayaw ko ng mga lace at bulaklak! ANO AKO, BABAE!?!" LOL PSY is really so cute when he's mad... I really like him so much. And that is why the perfect word to describe me right now is PSYchotic - because I really am - crazy over Park Shin Yang.

"Do you know what? Girls often dream about this.
Where she feels like a withered flower
Surrounded by all these fabulous people,
Then out of nowhere,
This prince on a white horse
Calls her name,
Holds her shoulder,
Gently touches her hair,
And walks her home...
But...
That is too perfect..."
-Kang Tae Young, Pari Ui Yeon In
Last week, since we had a short break from school(October 31-November 2), we decided to order some korean movies and series. Hya's sister bought PARI UI YEON IN since I recommended it to her. I wanted to buy it for myself, but I was broke then.. Besides, Hya said she'd burn me a copy when she goes back home, and that I could watch it first, and so I did. ^o^
PARI UI YEON IN, or better known as Romance In Paris or Lovers In Paris, is the most recent hit TV drama in Korea, which received 51.5% viewing audience. I've been waiting for it since I first heard about it, since I knew it would be wonderful. Besides, I really like the cast - PARK SHIN YANG(The Big Swindle, Hi Dharma) as Han Ki Joo, KIM JUNG EUN (Marrying The Mafia, Spring Breeze) as Kang Tae Young, and LEE DONG GUN (my love ^o^) as Yoon Soo Hyuk.
I'll try to keep this short because I know I'll go into a full ranting mode if I decide to talk more, but this is just one of the sweeeeeeeeeetest series I've really seen!!! It may seem like a typical modern day Cinderella story - rich guy falls for poor girl - but I simply just love the chemistry between Han Ki Joo and Kang Tae Yong! They love and believe so much in each other... (sigh) And I am overwhelmed whenever Ki Joo would say,
Isn't that such a wonderful thing!? I'm realizing now, that in whatever kind of love relationship - be it between God and man, parents and children, husband and wife, boyfriends and girlfriends - you have to do your best to make the relationship work out, to let it bloom to its fullness. It doesn't come easy at all. Yet, if you truly love the person, then I think you can overcome any kinds of obstacles... (sigh)
[misakichan is in her very RARE, romantic mode ^o^]
Here's a pic:
Park Shin Yang looks so good in pink!! (drools) I never knew a guy, besides Kenshin, could look so so yummy in pink!! (giggles) This scene is one of my most favorite parts of the story. Kim Jung Eun looks so cute... I wish I'm at least half as cute as her... hehehe
Because of PARI, I'm really so "in love" with Park Shin Yang now. ^o^ I've always liked him, but I never knew that he could do romantic dramas as well. He is so so so so so so cute!! I know he's a bit "old" (he's like 36), but can't help it, I just like him so much! ^o^ I plan to buy his other movies next time. But in the mean time, I can only make THIS in loving devotion for him... (beams)
Sarang Hae Do Dwel Gga Yo (May I Love You?) - now I'm in korean speaking mode already?! - is the song Park Shin Yang sang for Kim Jung Eun in the series. It's my ultimate favorite scene.. I think I cried from the beginning to the end of the song... hehehe The message of the song is just so beautiful. I think any girl will 'die' (well at least I did!) if someone like Park Shin Yang plays the piano and sings this song for them...
I knew it was you..
You walk to me and show your face,
It is so beautiful.
It looks familiar,
My heart is beating,
You have taken my heart.
I will tell you now,
I will be brave..
May I love you now?
This is my first time,
I don't want to miss it,
LOVE has arrived,
I will do my very best...
(sigh) That song has been playing over and over in my player (and in my head) for a week now... I really like it. Anyway, I was a little disappointed at Lee Dong Gun's character here, because I didn't want him to play the "bad" guy!! My love Lee Dong Gun is not a "bad" guy!! (sad) But he looks so cool here as well, with his "grunge" look.. >.< But I think I like him best when he's wearing a suit like in NANG RANG 18 SE.. I think I like guys in suits.. They looks so so so neat!! ^o^ hehehe
BTW, I added my TOP 5 BISHIE LIST on the side of my blog, hehehe... I really thought very hard about that since I've always wanted to put up such a list since so long ago... I was planning to change the entire lay-out, or at least the colors and the banner, but I guess I don't have the time... (sad)
As much as I'd love to rant more, I have to go home now cos it's getting quite late. Besides, today is my Father's birthday... I remember I blogged about his birthday here last year, hehehe... Anyway,
