FREAKY INCIDENT

"Stealing is BAD!!!"

Yesterday I was in one of the malls, and as usual, the ground floor was packed. I was paying for my Community Tax Certificate and Professional Tax Receipt when suddenly a guy came running in front of me. He was so fast, at the same time evading all the other customers, that I could hardly see him. And then he went out the exit. Then another man came running after him in panic, and we all realized that the first guy was a pickpocket, and the second man probably caught him red-handed. Well, "caught" is a wrong word, since I don't think he got the thief.

I think the first thing the victim should have done was to scream out loud, so that he'd alert the guards. A lot of people could have stopped the snatcher, if we were only made aware of what was going on. But then everything happened so fast, I guess he didn't have a chance. It gave me goosebumps seeing what happened, and I clutched my bag tightly and remembered what happened to me before. Even my aunt's purse was swiped out of her bag within mall premises. She eventually found her wallet in one of the boutiques, among the purses displayed. All of her money was gone but fortunately, her IDs, credit cards and important stuffs were still there. That is just so freaky. Times are so bad now. The world is just not safe.
